A little bit about me

My name is Holly. I am a Fully qualified and Insured Dog Trainer and Member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) working in Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire.

I am also an accredited Scentwork UK Trainer.

My training method is Fun, Kind, Ethical, Modern and uses Positive reinforcement techniques.

I am committed to continued learning.

Regularly attending both training and behaviour workshops and seminars and am currently training for a level 5 Diploma as a Canine Behaviour Practitioner.

My Story

Growing up, I was surrounded by animals from horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, to hamsters and mice.

I would take my hamster to class with me and quickly became known as the Hamster Whisperer and would get requests for training!

My training then became focused on dogs and I'd set up agility courses in the back garden and spend hours out there with them.

As a young girl, I was also madly in love with horses and used to traipse around the local areas mucking out stables in return for a ride on a pony.

I was later fortunate enough to have my own horses and went on to study for a degree in Equine studies at Writtle College.

As an adult, when I had my own dogs, I would always train them as if they were going to be guide dogs and gun dogs, taking them on public transport to major cities and socialising them to sights and smells and different people.

They would always be whistle trained and understand hand signals.

I also carry out Pets As Therapy with my dogs, taking them to care homes and hospices.
